I’ll be breaking down my process for you into an actionable, step-by-step curriculum that you can follow. The program goes for 10 weeks so you can either work alongside me and build your own project or watch the full process first, then apply my filmmaking formula to your own ideas later.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a deep, actionable, and practical understanding of how I make my documentaries so that you have the confidence to create your own.

To get the most out of the course, you will need to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to developing and refining your idea, plus attend 1 × 2-hour live Zoom session each week. Please note, some sessions may run longer depending on student questions.

You’ll also be expected to spend time filming yourself and working on practical exercises, which will receive personal feedback from me to help you improve.

Ideally, you should begin this course with the seed of an idea for a documentary or youtube series - one that hasn't yet been fully developed. Throughout the program, you’ll work on refining your concept while learning how to film and produce everything yourself in the process.

By the end, you won’t have a finished documentary, but you’ll have developed concept and be armed with the knowledge and skills to shoot it. The program focuses on developing your ideas, storylines, and will give you a practical self-shooting blueprint. Think of it like having access to your own personal Executive Producer to give you the best chance at getting noticed on Youtube, by festivals or by networks, streamers, and audiences worldwide.

You don’t need to be an experienced filmmaker to benefit from this course - you just a passion for storytelling and a desire to learn, capture, and share your unique story with the world.

When is your next program?

In 2024, the course will kick off in November and run once a week, for 10 weeks. A schedule will be given to successful applicants, depending on their location.

I'm currently making my own TV shows and working as a DOP so I only have time to hold one or two rounds of the program per year. Dates will be released via email - so make sure you apply online so we can stay in contact if you miss out.

Are the classes LIVE?

Yes, all the classes will be delivered LIVE - so people can ask questions as we go. This is a white-glove, bespoke bootcamp that's tailored to small groups of students.

What happens if I can't make a class?

While I strongly encourage people to join LIVE to ask questions and get the most out of the experience, sometimes you might have no choice but to miss a class. Sessions will be recorded and you are free to ask any questions in the private chat group.

Successful applicants will be sent a payment link before the course kicks off.
